Do you have high blood pressure? If so then this is an article that you should sit up and take note of. There have been studies that state that people who have high blood pressure can and do get some form of relief from this transcendental meditation. Perhaps you have thought of using meditation as a form of reduction for your high blood pressure?

If so, you have come to the right place. This article will cover a few of the unknown facts of why meditation is such a great alternative to using medications. I mean, not to put progress down but some people feel better going about things the natural, homeopathic way.

This information that we will put forth was from a study that was published back in December of 2007, they compared over 107 studies on certain programs that were being tried out on people with high blood pressure and have come up with meditation as a very strong winner every time. If this sounds good to you then by all means do read on!

As mentioned, this type of meditation will reduce your blood pressure significantly and it is said that you will not find this same type of reduction in any other type of meditation, stress management course or other types of routines that you can use to relax.

It has been reported that the changes in blood pressure for example on a 2.8 blood pressure can be brought down by 5.0 points. That
is a big jump compared to any other types of meditations or relaxation techniques.

These changes in the participants blood pressure from the practice of meditation brought down the rate of mortality in this study which also proved that there were less risks of heart disease and cardiovascular mishaps as well. Great news for people with high blood pressure don't you think?

There was also a new review of the study in July of 2007 that stated that most of the time that research is done on meditation in general is done haphazardly and doesn't really produce any evidence to prove the theory that certain stress reduction techniques will in fact bring down the patient's blood pressure.

There was a certain Dr Anderson who stated that a new meta-analysis was comprised of only the highest standard of quality studies that were done on all of the different techniques that were said to bring down or drastically reduce any stress in a patient's life.

These studies were done all independently of course by five different Institutes and Universities. Most of these Institutions were funded by grants that were given to them by the National Institutes of Health.

Anyway, this Doctor stated that any long term changes that took place in any patients happened to be tied in with approximately 15% reduced rates of strokes and heart attacks. Good news right? Hopefully many of you out there in today's reading audience have found this to be helpful.
