None side effects when I taking 60mg per day with other drugs to prevent migraines.
Have taken for about 3yrs. Recently I was diagnosed with essential tremors and doctor doubled my dose to 80mg twice a day about four weeks ago. Extremely tired after this drug! |

Will never take this propranolol again, or anything in this class of drugs, even what I need drug benefits. So scared that it triggered years of fears regarding taking any medication again.
I had severe panic attacks from this drug! |

After this drug I was lethargic, has weight gain, has high cholesterol and triglycerides and vivid dreams!
I've taken Inderal for 10 yrs to prevent daily migraines with visual aura. I was not able to function without this med but have had to increase dosage over the past years from 60 mg to near 100 mg at current time - I removing graines from capsules to reduce my dosage. So now my cholesterol and TGs are very very high and I suspect what beta blocker (it because my diet is really healthy, I eat low fat/low carb food only). I recently added 300 mg CQ - 10 QD and it helps me greatly with brain fog and lethargic and has prevented the necessity to increase dose of Inderal LA again. Is Anyone has changed from long-term inderal LA to topamax.? |

I have migraines since I was 18 year old.
Sometimes migraines would last 3-4 days without relief in sight. No medications that I was prescribed made as much of a difference as Inderal/Propranolol. Migraines are rare now and I only take 60 mg daily. I only worry to not have weight gain as side effect. |

I have insomnia, exhaustion, weakness from this drug. My blood pressure was very lowered, but it didn't matter, because I was too tired to care about it.
I changed drug to Avapro now and not have problems now. |

I not wanted to take this because of the side effects I read.
But my doctor insisted, and I also take cymbalta and wellbutrin, it really surprised me, I am doing now fine. BP is down to normal now, before on average it would be 161/111, started out 80mg a day of Inderal LA, now only 20 mg a day. So not have side effects now! My Dr. had to add cymbalta because of major depression and I feel much better! So far have lost 12 pounds which is definitially very good thing! |

I have from 2 up to 3 severe migraines per week. The frequency and intensity immediately begin decreasing and right now I haven't had even a minor one for 2 weeks.
I am very pleased with the results. I had been taking Relpax for migraines but would run out of drugs before my health insurance would allow me to refill the prescriptions and it was very very costly! |

I taking Inderal because I started getting high blood pressure at time when I was pregnant and I kept getting sick after I had my baby.
Every time I went to the Doctor my BP was always 157/100 or more higher. We switched from Elavil to Inderal for to help with my migraines and knock out my BP problem at the same time. It worked good with the migraines pretty well at start, but then stopped working, I had to up the dose close to 120 mg. Now my blood pressure is going up again and again. I not sure if I will stay on it or not. |
