Although severe hypertension can be fatal, you don't have to panic when you have an elevated blood pressure. The good thing is that you've detected the increased blood pressure at an early time, instead of learning you have high blood pressure when your organs are damaged or when you suffer from vision problems, heart attack or stroke. Simply put, it is better to control blood pressure by simple lifestyle changes than suffer in the future from health problems associated with high blood pressure.
